💜 "The Astronaut" is the debut solo single by Jin of BTS, released on October 28, 2022. Co-written with British rock band Coldplay, Norwegian DJ Kygo, and others, the track beautifully blends Jin's soulful vocals with Coldplay's signature cosmic pop-rock sound. The heartfelt lyrics express Jin’s deep affection for his fans, ARMY—portraying them as his guiding light and source of purpose.

The accompanying music video tells a touching story: Jin plays an alien who crash-lands on Earth and bonds with a young girl and her family. When faced with the choice to return to his home planet, he chooses to stay—symbolizing his enduring connection with ARMY and his commitment to them.

Released shortly before Jin’s enlistment for mandatory military service, The Astronaut served as both a heartfelt farewell and a promise to return.

💜 Jin shares a special bond with Coldplay, particularly frontman Chris Martin. Their connection was solidified through their collaboration on The Astronaut, which Jin approached Chris about six months prior to release, asking for a song that could serve as a parting gift to his fans. Chris described The Astronaut as one of Coldplay’s best songs and was honored to entrust it to Jin.

On October 28, 2022, Jin made a surprise appearance at Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The performance was emotionally charged—Chris introduced Jin with heartfelt words, and the two shared a warm onstage embrace as Jin dedicated the performance to ARMY. 💜 On April 19, 2025, Jin reunited with Coldplay during their Music of the Spheres World Tour stop at the Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea. It was a surprise appearance and a full-circle moment: his first concert after completing military service and, fittingly, performing The Astronaut once again with Coldplay. The stage was filled with emotion, magic, and love—just as ARMY had imagined. You can watch that performance here: https://youtu.be/3Gz5wI7KxSI?si=zZQ5C0eYhI5qaVno

💜 My goal is to provide English subtitles that are accurate, easy to follow, and unobtrusive—something that enhances your viewing experience without distracting from it. Of course, I can't slow down the rappers 😅, but I do my best to make everything else smooth and clear!

💜 I also aim to deliver the best possible video quality, which is why I create many of the videos myself, carefully edited to bring out every detail.

💜 I create subtitles for BTS content because their lyrics are such a meaningful part of their music. Having subtitles as an optional feature helps more people connect deeply with their songs.
